Thank you for visiting the Cherokee LRC website!  LRC stands for Learning Resource Center.  We are located in C-3.  Our classroom is for students in kindergarten through fifth grade who have difficulty learning.  We teach reading, writing and/or math as a pull-out program.  Pull-out means that students go to a homeroom teacher for several periods of the day.  Students don't stay in LRC for the full day.  Students come in for 1, 2, or 3 periods.  All students in LRC have an Individual Education Plan (IEP) and have been identified for services through psychological and academic assessment.  If you are concerned that your child may be eligible for services, please contact your child's homeroom teacher to learn about the procedure we use to identify students.

Student at Cherokee have access to therapies outlined in their IEPs.  These services include speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and adaptive physical education.
